About Georgenne
It gives me a lot of joy and contentment to see my clients after a massage. They don’t just look relaxed and happy, they feel better both physically and emotionally. Bearing witness to the shifts they experience is a gratifying experience for me. I hope I make others feel welcome and nurtured, while also holding space for them. I believe deeply in the mind-body connection and its power to transform people.
Personally, I have had different aches and pains in my body throughout my life, for which massage has done wonders. I pride myself in my self care routine: I have received physical therapy, and get routine acupuncture, massage and cupping treatments.
I’m passionate about helping people because of the ways in which people have helped me with my healing journey.
It made such an incredible, positive impact on me and I hope I can do that for others.
Massage is a healing modality that is proven to reduce pain and swelling, help calm the nervous system, and help boost your immune (and lymphatic) system. It also helps lower your blood pressure, and your stress and anxiety levels.
In each of my custom treatments, I take a holistic approach to healing clients and consider all of the modalities I offer to their overall wellness and experience.
I weave gua sha and myofascial release techniques into each treatment. Gua sha is a smooth-edged stone tool that is used in a pressing motion to relieve muscular tension and break down fascia adhesions. Myofascial release is a massage that involves gentle stretching and trigger points.
I have been a Nationally Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist since 1999. I Received my first massage (via a referral from my cousin!) while working on Wall Street and living in New York City.
After getting off the massage table, I instantly realized that I wanted to make this my career – I wanted to help people feel the way I felt after my first massage. I felt relaxed, grounded, and just really good in my body.
I also realized at this time that I wasn’t cut out for a traditional 9 to 5 job. So I moved back to my hometown on Cape Cod to go back to school and get certified in Massage Therapy in Cambridge.
For nearly 26 years, I had a thriving, successful practice in Hyannis and Osterville, and am proud to now have fantastic clientele for my practice in Scituate, MA, on the South Shore of Boston. It’s been wonderful to have clients follow me from the Cape and Boston to the South Shore, some of whom have been with me from the beginning of my career.
